#52 Fairy Dust
Hey everyone, hope you’re all well 🙂 Today’s photo isn’t a particularly fancy shot, or technically impressive – I just think it’s kind of nice 🙂 I was trying to capture the light passing through the spider’s web (that I nearly walked into) and managed to capture the ethereal forest dust against the darker background […]

#51 White Clover II
Hello all, hope everyone is having a good day 🙂 More clover today. I’m quite stunned by how pretty these flowers are and that I haven’t noticed until now! I think that’s one of the great things about photography in general but particularly macro photography – you get close up to things that you’ve probably […]

#50 White Clover
Hey folks, hope everyone is well 🙂 A macro shot of some lovely white clover today. This stuff is everywhere at the moment. I hadn’t noticed the beautiful coral-red colours on the inside of the flower before now, they are absolutely stunning. Edible as well I think, though I haven’t tried any yet! Thanks for […]

#45 Buzzard!
Hello everyone, hope we’re all well. I have taken lots of of pictures of this buzzard, he’s a local and I usually see him on my walks and especially at this time of year where I also see his mate. It is quite hard to get a good picture of this guy without a better […]

#44 Meadow
Hey folks, hope everyone is well and enjoying summer (finally!) I absolutely love this this shot of a meadow near my house. The way the purple of the wild grass and the yellows and greens blend together among the shadows being cast by nearby trees is really pleasing to the eye, and the buttercups just […]

#43 Oxeye
Hey folks, how are we all? Today’s photo is a close up of an Oxeye Daisy, or as I like to think of them, the humble Daisy’s much bigger cousin. It was the pattern in the entire of the flower that drew me to this. It almost looks like one of these psychedelic posters that […]

#42 Follow
Hello folks, hope everyone is well? Today’s photo is of my local woodland, Cove Woods. I’m not sure what it is but I find it quite hard to fully capture the beauty of the woods as I see it with my eyes. I find the picture is always a bit busy, or seems dull even, […]

#40 Stitchwort
Hey everyone, how are we all? Today’s picture is of a Greater Stitchwort flower – though it has many other names. These include: ‘wedding cakes’, ‘Star of the Bethlehem’, ‘daddy’s shirt buttons’ and ‘snapdragon. The Greater Stitchwort is the food plant for several moths, so pretty important to the ecosystem. Thanks for visiting, Kaylin x

#39 Rhododendron
Hey folks, hope you’re well. Today’s picture is a very close up shot of a rhododendron I picked. I love the colours and the orange pattern. These are invasive here and are a bit of a menace to native wild flowers and plants so I don’t feel too bad about picking them to take home. […]

#38 Nettle Weevil
Hey folks, another little weevil for today – this time a Nettle Weevil (Phyllobius Pomaceus). Aren’t the colours beautiful? I love seeing insects up close like this, they’re often not as icky seeming when you can get a closer look at them I think. With some definite exceptions – earwigs completely freak me out, for […]
